Sincil Bank fireworks set to dazzle

Bonfire night: The spectacular fireworks display at Sincil bank will be back, and tickets are selling out fast.

This year’s fireworks display at Sincil Bank will be one of the biggest in the county, and over 1,000 people already bought tickets for the November 7 event.

The Lincoln Beevor Band will open the celebrations, with classic music from across the decades, as gates open from 5pm.

For the first hour, children can take part in circus workshops, with circus entertainers walking amongst the crows with stilts.

The Earthbound Misfits duo will take to the performance area to show comical routines, with a number of tricks to get the crowd involved.

The mascot race will see Poacher the Imp and Mrs Poacher, with Scunny Bunny and Roary the Tiger set to compete head to head.

Previous years have seen Poacher victorious, but there have been many thrills and spills along the way in this part of the evening.

The end of the night will culminate with a 15-minute organised fireworks display set to light up the skies of Lincoln.

Tickets for the event start at £7 for adults, and family deals and concessions for pensioners and students are available from the Red Imps tickets website.

There will also be a fireworks display at the Lincolnshire Showground on November 5, which last year saw over 5,000 people attending.

Tickets for the showground fireworks display start at £5.40 for adults (£13.50 family tickets), and are available from the event’s website.
