Art exhibition by mental health patients held

Creative art: Recovering mental health patients will be exhibiting their work in the library.

A special kind of art will be exhibited at Lincoln Central Library this month, in aid of mental illness.

The Gemini art exhibition is a collection of work created by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust patients as part of their recovery from mental illness.

The patients produced the art by with paper pulp sculpting techniques and by using recycled materials. The art is intended to reflect their inner selves.

Exhibition organiser Terry Overton said:  “It is one our most colourful and exciting projects to date based on the creation of art through recycling processes.”

The exhibition is open to all the public on February 14 to 18, 1pm to 4.30pm on Monday, 9.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Thursday and 9.30am to 2pm on Friday.
