Man arrested for city metal theft

Arrested: Police have caught a man and charged him with theft of copper from a home.

Lincolnshire Police have charged a local man with stealing copper from a house in Lincoln.

In the afternoon of July 13, police on patrol arrested a Lincoln man on suspicion of stealing copper from an empty property on Wragby Road.

Graeme Michael Dobbyn (20) from The Oval, Lincoln, was questioned by detectives then later charged with burglary.

He has been released of police bail and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on August 16.

The arrest comes after police recently warned landlords of the risk of copper thefts from their unoccupied properties.
