Tokyo launch tickets sell out in record time

Sell out: Tickets for Calvin Harris’ appearance at the Tokyo Lincoln opening night have been snapped up within minutes.

The tickets for Tokyo Lincoln‘s opening night, which went on sale at 9am on July 29, sold out in just 30 minutes.

A total of 200 tickets were sold, which means that an average of 6.6 were going every minute. It is the fastest time tickets have ever been sold for a Lincoln Moda event.

Tokyo Grand Opening Event, which takes will take place on August 26 and is organised by Moda, will feature headlining act Calvin Harris along with Radio 1’s Jaymo and Andy George.

A message was posted on the Facebook page for Tokyo Lincoln which read “Woah. Thank you Lincoln, we sold out in a matter of minutes this morning.”

A spokesperson from Moda said: “We want to stress that due to this being the opening night we want to give as many people possible the opportunity to see Moda in the new venue.

“With this in mind the majority of tickets will be available on the door from 9pm on Friday, 26th of August.

“Early arrival is highly recommended. Please note that for all future moda events our normal ticketing strategy will resume, with more advance tickets on sale. News on our next event will follow shortly.”

Tokyo Lincoln is set open in the city’s former Constitutional Club on Silver Street on August 26, after 15 years as a derelict property and a £1.5 million renovation.
