Man attacked with hammer on Firth Rd

Hammer attack: A local man suffered hand injuries after he was attacked by another man with a hammer on Firth Road.

A 40-year-old local man suffered a hand injury, including a broken finger, after he was attacked with a hammer in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating the attack that took place at around 10.15am on Monday, September 26, in the street at Firth Road, Lincoln.

The offender ran off towards the post office/sorting office on Firth Road. A 41-year-old local man was arrested on Sincil Street soon afterwards.

The man was interviewed at Lincoln Police Station and later released on police bail to return to the police station at a later date.
