Free tickets for the Olympic Torch party at Yarborough Sports Ground on June 27 are now available from the Lincoln Drill Hall box office.

The celebrations will take place between 5pm and 7.30pm, and will see around 100 local musicians, dancers and gymnasts perform on and off the stage.

Rapper and grime artist Loick Essien will perform on the day, as well as a large scale dance and gymnastic show commissioned by the Drill Hall, called One World.

One World will feature around 25 musicians playing a mix of dubstep, banghra, hip-hop and world music styles accompanied by a cast of 50 dancers and 20 gymnasts, parkour artists and free runners.

Towards the end of the two-hour show, the last Torchbearer of the day in Lincoln will light a celebration cauldron on stage.

Ten thousand free tickets – with a limit of eight per household – will be available for the Lincoln Olympic torch relay evening celebration.

Anyone wishing to apply for tickets can either visit the Drill Hall on Free School Lane in Lincoln from 10am, or call the box office on 01522 873894.

You can also get your tickets online from the Drill Hall website.
